Turkish translation across the UK

Around seven in ten British Turks live in London, and the 2021 Census shows how tightly clustered they are. This page covers what the Consulate General in Knightsbridge translates itself, what it will not, and how documents travel between London and Ankara.

Northern Ireland recorded 659 residents born in Türkiye at the 2021 Census, and its consular business is handled from Edinburgh. Its registration, court and health systems also have their own names and forms.

South of the river the Turkish-speaking population is smaller and more scattered than in the north-east London boroughs. Croydon also happens to be where the Home Office sits, which raises a question we answer often.
