Academic and education translation
Certified translation of diplomas, transcripts, diploma supplements, course descriptions and school records for UK ENIC, UCAS, universities, regulators and employers, and of UK qualifications for YÖK and MEB recognition in Türkiye.
What the receiving body requires
UK ENIC requires certified translations of documents not in English; its Translation Waiver Service covers a fixed list of languages, and Turkish is not on that list (list checked 2026-08-29 — quote the live wording before publishing).

UK ENIC, universities, professional regulators and employers all want to see what you studied, for how long and with what result. Turkish is not on the UK ENIC translation waiver list, so a certified translation is required for a statement of comparability, and UCAS does not accept translations made by the applicant. We translate:
- Lise diploması (high-school diploma) and the lise transkripti for foundation and undergraduate admission.
- Lisans, yüksek lisans and doktora diplomas, temporary graduation certificates (geçici mezuniyet belgesi) and graduation certificates (mezuniyet belgesi).
- Transcripts (not dökümü), with the grading scale and credit system explained in a translator’s note, because UK readers do not know what a 4.00 scale or AKTS credits mean without it.
- Diploma supplements and course descriptions (ders içerikleri) for credit transfer and regulator syllabus checks.
- YKS, YÖS, ALES and YDS result documents, student certificates (öğrenci belgesi) and vocational certificates (ustalık, MYK).
- References, enrolment letters and school reports for children moving to UK schools.
Purpose pages: UK ENIC, UCAS and university admissions, Student Finance.
UK qualifications for Türkiye
YÖK’s e-Denklik system recognises UK degrees on the basis of the degree certificate, transcript and diploma supplement, each with a translation certified by a Turkish notary or consulate. MEB handles GCSE and A-level equivalence (lise denklik) through the provincial education directorates or the education counsellor’s office in London. Turkish universities and the military service offices ask for translated student status letters for deferment (tecil). For these we deliver a notarised translation in Ankara, with the FCDO apostille on the UK document first. See YÖK denklik for the sequence.
Our approach to academic documents
Course titles are translated, not paraphrased, so that a regulator can match them to a syllabus. Grades are reproduced exactly with the scale shown beneath the table; we do not convert Turkish grades to UK classifications, because that is the recogniser’s job and a converted grade on a translation can cause a rejection. Institution names are given in Turkish with the English name the institution itself uses. Turkish characters in names are preserved. Seals of the rectorate, the dean and the notary who certified a copy are all translated. A second linguist checks every figure on a transcript against the original, which for a six-page transcript means several hundred numbers.
What it costs
Turkish to English from £10.00 per page and English to Turkish from £6.50 per page, where a page is 1,000 characters of source text. A diploma is one page (£10). A transcript is typically three to six pages, so £30–60. A diploma supplement runs to four to eight pages. Course descriptions for a whole degree are the largest item and are quoted as a set. Certification is included. Economy service at 20% below standard suits applicants with time before a deadline. No UK VAT is charged.
Turnaround
Diploma and transcript together in 2 working days; a full recognition file with course descriptions in 5–10 working days depending on length. Same-day express for a single diploma received before 11:00 UK time.
Accepted to date by
UK ENIC, UCAS, universities and colleges, the GMC, NMC, GDC, GPhC and HCPC, the Home Office for Student visas, Student Finance England, employers, and in Türkiye YÖK, MEB and universities via the notarised route.

Frequently asked questions
Does UK ENIC accept a translation from a company in Türkiye?
ENIC asks for a certified translation and does not restrict where the translator is based. Our statement gives the company name, registration and contact details on every translation, which is what ENIC and universities check.
Will you convert my Turkish GPA to a UK degree class?
No. We reproduce the grades and explain the scale. Conversion is done by ENIC or the admitting university; a translator’s conversion is not accepted and can cause a rejection.
Do I need to translate every course description?
Only if the regulator or university asks for them, usually for credit transfer or for professional syllabus checks. Ask them first; it is the most expensive item in a recognition file.
Can my Turkish university send you the documents directly?
Yes. Many faculties will e-mail a stamped transcript. We can also work from e-Devlet graduation and student certificates, which carry a verification code.
What does YÖK need for my UK degree?
The apostilled degree certificate, transcript and diploma supplement with notarised Turkish translations, uploaded to e-Denklik. We prepare the notarised translations in Ankara; see the YÖK denklik page for the current list.
