About Hacettepe Translation
Hacettepe Translation is a translation company registered in Ankara, Türkiye, in 2008. We translate and certify documents for Turkish residents of the United Kingdom, and for people in the UK who need documents accepted in Türkiye.
Who we are
Hacettepe Translation is the English trading name of Hacettepe Tercüme Bilgisayar Yazılım Danışmanlık ve İnternet Hizmetleri Ticaret Limited Şirketi, a limited company registered in Ankara in 2008. Our office is in Kızılay, in the Çankaya district of Ankara. We have translated documents for Turkish citizens living abroad since the company was founded, and this website is our service for the United Kingdom.
We are named after the Hacettepe neighbourhood of Ankara. Read about our name.
What we do
- Certified translation between Turkish and English of civil registry, court, academic, medical and financial documents for UK bodies such as the Home Office, HM Passport Office, UK ENIC and professional regulators.
- Notarised translation (noter onaylı tercüme) and apostille in Ankara for UK documents that will be used in Türkiye.
- Business translation for companies trading between the UK and Türkiye: contracts, company documents, technical and marketing content.
- Turkish interpreting, arranged through interpreters based in the UK.

Where we are, and where we are not
We work from Ankara. We do not have an office, a postal address or staff in the UK, and we do not offer collection in person. We tell you this up front because some customers need a walk-in service, and we are not the right choice for them.
For everyone else, distance makes little difference. You send us photos or scans, we send you a certified PDF, and a signed hard copy follows by international courier if you need one. You can talk to us in Turkish or English by phone, WhatsApp and e-mail. See contact us.
How we work
Your document is translated by a translator who is sworn before a notary public in Türkiye (noter yeminli tercüman) and who works regularly in the direction you need. A second linguist checks the translation against the original before we certify it. We treat every document as confidential and delete uploaded files 30 days after delivery. What we do not claim
We hold no ATC or ISO certification at present, and we say so on our credentials page. No translation company is approved by the Home Office; the Home Office sets out what a certified translation must contain, and ours contains it. Where we say a UK body has accepted our translations, we mean that it has done so to date, and we keep the evidence.
Frequently asked questions
Are you a UK company?
No. We are a Turkish limited company registered with the Ankara Trade Registry (number 256268). Full details are on our company information page. UK consumer protection law still applies when you buy from us as a consumer in the UK.
Why should I use a company in Türkiye for a UK application?
Three reasons: lower prices because our cost base is in Ankara, direct access to Turkish notaries and apostille offices for documents going to Türkiye, and a certification statement written to the gov.uk wording for documents going to UK bodies.
Can I visit your office?
Our office is in Ankara and you are welcome by appointment. We have no office in the UK.
Who signs the certification?
An authorised signatory of Hacettepe Translation signs each certification statement, with their full name, on behalf of the company. The statement carries our company name, registry number, address and contact details.
