Certified translation into English
The Home Office, HM Passport Office, register offices, UK ENIC, the regulators and the courts all work from the same gov.uk wording. No notary and no apostille are needed in the ordinary case.
- Send a photograph or scan of every page, including stamps on the back.
- We translate and certify: accuracy statement, date, company name, Ankara registry number, signature.
- You receive a PDF the same or next working day; a hard copy by courier if you want one.

Notarised translation, prepared in Ankara
Nüfus, YÖK, SGK, tapu, the trade registry and the courts expect a translation sworn before a Turkish notary — a UK-style certified translation is usually re-done. We do that step at our own notary in Ankara.
- Get the FCDO apostille on the UK original first (£45 paper, £35 e-Apostille where eligible).
- We translate, a notary-sworn translator signs, the Ankara notary certifies; the notary tariff is passed through at cost.
- If the receiving office asks, we add the Turkish apostille (£15) and courier the original to you or straight to Türkiye.

Send the document
A clear photograph is enough. Include every page and both sides where there are stamps. Tell us who will receive the translation and any deadline.

Get a fixed price
We count the characters and reply with the price, the delivery date and, where it matters, what the receiving body will expect. Usually within one working hour, Monday to Friday.

Translation and checking
A translator does the work and a second linguist reads it against the original. Names, dates and numbers are checked character by character against your passport spelling.

Certification and delivery
You get a certified PDF by e-mail. Hard copies go by courier from Ankara (2–4 working days). For Türkiye-bound documents the notarised original is couriered where you need it.

On every certified translation
- A statement that it is “a true and accurate translation of the original document”
- The date of the translation
- Our company name and contact details, with the Ankara trade registry number
- The signature of the person certifying on behalf of the company
- Every stamp, seal, handwritten note and annex marked and translated, with the layout mirroring the original

For leave to remain and settlement, Appendix FM-SE also asks for the translator’s or company’s credentials; our registered company details cover that. Acceptance is always the receiving authority’s decision.

What we are not
- We have no UK office, no UK telephone number and no collection point — everything is by e-mail and courier.
- We are not members of the ITI, CIOL or ATC and we hold no ISO 17100 certificate.
- We are not on the London Consulate’s registered translator list; for documents that need consular certification we tell you and explain that route.
- We are not a government body, and no authority endorses or approves us — the receiving body always decides whether a document is acceptable.

About this company
Why an Ankara-based company for UK documents
Hacettepe Translation is a translation company registered in Ankara, Türkiye, since 2008. We do not have an office in the United Kingdom. We serve Turkish residents of the UK by e-mail, WhatsApp and international courier, and we say so plainly because it affects how you use our service.
Working from Ankara gives you three practical advantages.
- Cost. Our costs are Turkish costs. Turkish-to-English translation starts at £10.00 per page of 1,000 characters, and the certification statement is included. The published starting prices of UK agencies we checked in August 2026 were about £30 per page.
- Notary access. If your document is going to Türkiye, we arrange the notarised translation (noter onaylı tercüme) and the apostille in Ankara directly. You do not need a consulate appointment for the translation itself.
- UK-format certification. For documents going to UK bodies, every translation carries a statement that meets the gov.uk certification requirements: a confirmation that it is a true and accurate translation of the original document, the date, and our full company details and signature.
What we cannot offer: collection in person, and a UK postal address. Hard copies travel by DHL or UPS from Ankara in 2 to 4 working days. See delivery options.
How it works
- Send your documents. Upload a clear photo or scan of every page through the quote form, or send it by WhatsApp. Tell us what the translation is for and when you need it.
- Receive a fixed quote. We count the characters, confirm the price, the turnaround and the delivery option, and send you a quote. The price on the quote is the price you pay.
- We translate and certify. A translator working in the right direction translates the document. A second linguist checks it against the original. We then add the certification statement and sign it.
- Receive your translation. You get a certified PDF by e-mail. If you ordered a hard copy, the signed paper version follows by courier.

Frequently asked questions
Is a translation certified in Türkiye accepted in the UK?
The UK has no system of sworn translators. UK bodies set out what a certified translation must contain, and the gov.uk wording asks for a confirmation of accuracy, the date and the full name and contact details of the translator or translation company. Our certification statement contains all of these. Translations we have certified have been accepted to date by the Home Office, HM Passport Office, the General Register Office and UK ENIC. Do you have an office in the UK?
No. We work from Ankara. You reach us by e-mail, WhatsApp and phone, and you receive your translation as a PDF or by courier. We do not offer collection.
How long does a certified translation take?
A typical Turkish certificate is translated and certified in 1 to 2 working days. English-to-Turkish translation of a UK certificate usually takes 1 working day. The fast option halves the turnaround; the economy option doubles it. Notarisation and apostille in Ankara add 1 to 3 working days.
How much does it cost?

Do I need to send the original document?
No. A clear photo or scan of every page, including the back, is enough for a certified translation. The receiving body may ask you to show the original alongside the translation, so keep it safe.
