A transcript (not dökümü, or transkript on many universities' own forms) is issued by the student affairs office (öğrenci işleri daire başkanlığı) and lists, semester by semester, every course taken with its code, title, credit value, ECTS (AKTS) value and grade. It closes with the cumulative grade point average (genel not ortalaması, abbreviated GANO or AGNO), usually out of 4.00 but sometimes out of 100, the total credits earned and the graduation status. Grades appear as letters (AA, BA, BB down to FF), as marks out of 100, or both, and non-graded outcomes use codes such as başarılı (pass), muaf (exempt) and devamsız (failed for non-attendance). High-school transcripts from e-Okul follow a similar layout by year and subject.
Many universities now issue transcripts as PDFs with an electronic signature and a verification code, and some make them available through e-Devlet. Whichever version you send, we reproduce the table structure so that each translated line sits opposite the original, translate the course titles consistently, expand the abbreviations once in a key, and keep every grade and average exactly as printed.
When a UK body asks for it
- UK ENIC asks for the transcript with the diploma when it assesses a degree, and it can only read it in a certified translation because Turkish is outside its waiver list. See translations for UK ENIC.
- Postgraduate admissions, where the modules studied and the average determine eligibility for a master's or a PhD.
- The GMC, NMC, GDC and GPhC, which examine the content and hours of the primary qualification and ask for the transcript in the original language with a translation.
- Professional bodies and credit transfer, where exemptions from UK modules or examinations depend on what was covered; the transcript is read together with course descriptions.
- Employers in graduate recruitment that ask for module results.
What the translation must contain
ENIC, universities and regulators apply the gov.uk standard quoted below, and the GMC and NMC add that the translation must come from a translator or translation service that can be identified and contacted, stamped and signed. Our certification page gives the confirmation of accuracy, the date, the company's Ankara Trade Registry number, address and contact details and a signature and stamp, and every page of the transcript is attached and numbered.
Three rules govern our transcript work. Grades are never converted: a BB stays BB and a 3.42 stays 3.42, with the university's own scale reproduced in the key. Course titles are translated once and used identically on every page and in any later document from the same degree, so a UK reader matching modules to a syllabus is not confused by two renderings of the same course. Nothing is left out: elective courses, repeated courses and failed attempts are all translated, because a transcript that omits them is not a full translation and can be treated as altered. Apostille and e-signed transcripts
UK ENIC, universities and the health regulators do not ask for an apostille on a transcript. An electronically signed transcript is verified through the university's code, which we translate along with its instructions. If an authority outside the UK requires an apostille, the university certifies the signature and the valilik applies the apostille to the paper version.
Price and turnaround
Transcripts are dense. A four-year degree transcript runs to 3 to 6 pages of 1,000 characters, so the certified translation typically costs £30.00 to £60.00; a medical or engineering transcript with many modules can reach 8. Certification is included and no UK VAT is charged. Standard turnaround is 2 to 3 working days as a certified PDF because the tables are checked line by line; the economy option lowers the price by 20 per cent over twice the time, and the fast option halves the time for 60 per cent more. A signed hard copy by courier from Ankara is £30. We have no UK office and do not offer collection.

Frequently asked questions
Will you convert my GPA to a UK degree classification?
No. The average is reproduced on its original scale with the scale stated. UK universities and ENIC apply their own comparison tables, and a translation that pre-empts them is treated as an alteration.
How are ECTS (AKTS) credits shown?
As printed, in a column headed ECTS with the Turkish abbreviation AKTS in the key. Where the transcript gives both national credits and ECTS, both columns are kept.
Can you translate only the final two years?
We translate complete documents. If the university can issue a transcript covering a shorter period, that is a complete document in its own right and we translate it; a selection made from a longer transcript is not.
My transcript is a PDF with an e-signature. Is that acceptable in the UK?
Yes, to date. We translate the signature statement and the verification instructions, so the receiving body can confirm the document with the university online.
The course names on my diploma supplement are already in English. Will your translation match them?
Yes. Send us the supplement with the transcript and we align the course titles with the university's own English wording, which avoids two different names for one module.
Do you also translate a high-school transcript from e-Okul?
Yes. It is shorter, usually 1 to 2 pages, and is often sent with the lise diploması for university admission.
