Ticaret sicil gazetesi — meaning and English translation

The Türkiye Ticaret Sicili Gazetesi is the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette, in which company formations, capital changes, directors and signatories are published.

Turkish term: Ticaret sicil gazetesi · Last reviewed 31 August 2026

Turkish company law requires registrable facts to be published, and the place of publication is the Türkiye Ticaret Sicili Gazetesi, printed and archived by the Union of Chambers (TOBB). A company's incorporation, articles, capital increases, changes of directors and authorised signatories, address moves, mergers and liquidation each produce an issue and page reference, which is why Turkish contracts cite “gazette number and date” alongside the registry number. Extracts can be searched and bought online.

We render it as “Turkish Trade Registry Gazette (Türkiye Ticaret Sicili Gazetesi)” and the extract as “gazette extract”. Published articles of association are translated in full; announcements are translated with their issue number, date and page so that a reader can locate the original.

UK banks, Companies House when a Turkish company becomes a shareholder or corporate director, and the Home Office in business visa routes are the usual recipients. See Trade Registry Gazette translation.
