How long a certified translation takes, what same-day means, how the economy and fast tiers change the time, and which extras (notary, apostille, courier) add days.
Short documents are delivered as a certified PDF within one to two working days at the standard tier. Fast halves that and offers same-day delivery for orders confirmed before 11:00 UK time; economy doubles it in exchange for a 20 % lower price. Our team works Monday to Friday in Ankara, two to three hours ahead of the UK, so orders placed in the evening are already in progress before the UK working day starts. Notarised translations, Turkish apostilles and courier delivery add time and are explained below. How long does a one-page certificate take?
One to two working days at the standard tier, delivered as a PDF by e-mail. Turkish to English typically lands at the longer end because of the English-side review. Order fast and confirm before 11:00 UK time and you have it the same day.
What does same-day actually mean?
The certified PDF is sent by the end of the UK working day on the day you confirm and pay, provided that is before 11:00 UK time and the document is short. For longer documents we tell you before you pay whether same-day is realistic.
How long does a large document take?
As a guide, a translator handles about eight to ten of our pages a day plus revision. A 30-page court file is four to five working days at standard, two to three at fast, eight to ten at economy. The quote gives a delivery date.
When does the turnaround clock start?
From payment and receipt of usable scans, whichever is later. Sending a quote request on its own does not start it, and neither does a quote we have sent but you have not yet accepted. Missing pages or unreadable stamps pause the clock while we ask you for a better copy, so it is worth checking the scan before you send it.
Do you work at weekends and on UK bank holidays?
Production runs Monday to Friday. Weekend orders are counted from Monday morning Ankara time. UK bank holidays do not stop our production, but they do delay couriers. Turkish public holidays, in particular the two Bayram periods, close notaries and apostille offices for several days; translation continues through most of them.
How much time does a notarised translation add?
Usually same day to two working days after the translation is complete, subject to the notary's hours in Ankara. A Turkish apostille on the notarised translation adds the same day at the kaymakamlık or one to three days at the valilik.
How long does the hard copy take to arrive?
Two to four working days from Ankara to a UK address by DHL or UPS, tracked and signed for. The PDF is sent as soon as the translation is finished, so you can start the online steps while the parcel is in transit.
Can you meet a court date or consulate appointment?
Usually, if you tell us the date and time when you order. We plan backwards from the appointment and say immediately if it cannot be met, rather than accepting the job and hoping. Where a notary or apostille in Ankara is involved, allow a week to be safe; where only a certified PDF is needed, a few days is normally enough.
