Delivery and collection FAQs
Every translation is delivered as a certified PDF by e-mail. Hard copies come by tracked courier from Ankara. There is no collection, because we have no UK office; this page explains what that means for you.
We are an Ankara-based company serving Turkish residents of the UK, and we do not have an office in the UK. Delivery therefore works in two ways. The certified PDF is e-mailed the moment the translation is finished and is what most online applications need. A hard copy, signed in ink and stamped, is sent by tracked courier from Ankara for £30 and arrives in two to four working days. Notarised translations for Türkiye are paper documents and are couriered to you or to an address in Türkiye. There is no collection point; if you need paper, the courier is the route. Frequently asked questions
Can I collect my translation from your office?
No. Our office is in Ankara and we have no premises in London or elsewhere in the UK. Everything is delivered by e-mail as a PDF or by courier. We say this plainly because some agencies with no UK presence imply otherwise.
How is the PDF delivered?
By e-mail to the address on your order, as soon as the translation and certification are complete. The PDF carries the signed certification statement and our stamp on each page. If you prefer a download link rather than an attachment, tell us.
How much does the hard copy cost and how long does it take?
£30 by DHL or UPS from Ankara, tracked and signed for, arriving in two to four working days at a UK address. You receive the tracking number on dispatch and can follow the parcel online. The PDF is sent ahead as soon as the translation is finished, so you can start any online steps while the paper copy is in transit.
Do I need the hard copy at all?
For online visa applications, UCAS, ENIC, GMC and NMC portals, e-mailed submissions to solicitors and employers: no, the PDF is enough. For postal passport applications, register office appointments, court bundles and Turkish notarised translations: usually yes. Order the PDF first and add the courier only if the receiving body wants ink. See digital certified translation vs hard copy.
Can you post from within the UK by Royal Mail?
Not at present. Hard copies are printed, signed and dispatched from Ankara, because that is where the company and its stamp are. If a UK print-and-post option is introduced it will be listed on the delivery page with its price and time, and we will offer it to clients who only need a printed copy for a postal application.
Can you deliver to an address in Türkiye?
Yes, and it is cheaper and faster than delivery to the UK. Notarised translations that are going to a Turkish office, a relative or a lawyer in Türkiye can be sent directly there; tell us the address when ordering.
Will the courier ask for customs duty?
No. Documents have no commercial value and are declared as such on the courier's paperwork, so there is no duty or VAT to pay on arrival in the UK. The courier may ask for a signature at delivery, and if nobody is in they leave a card or attempt redelivery according to their usual practice.
What if the parcel is lost or damaged?
We re-print and re-send at our own cost as soon as the courier confirms the loss, or sooner if your deadline demands it. Because the translation exists as a file, nothing is lost except time, and the tracked service makes loss rare. Tell us straight away if the tracking shows a problem.
Do you deliver to third parties, such as my solicitor?
Yes. Give us the solicitor's e-mail and postal address and say whether you want to be copied in. For data-protection reasons we send only to addresses you authorise in writing, and we do not release a translation to a third party who contacts us without that authority, even a family member.
