UCAS 2027 deadlines for Turkish applicants
UCAS runs an early autumn deadline for medicine, dentistry, veterinary science and Oxford or Cambridge, and a later equal-consideration deadline for everything else. Translations have to be ready before either.
The two deadlines
Applications for medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and any course at Oxford or Cambridge close in the middle of October. Everything else runs to the equal-consideration deadline in January, after which applications are still accepted but universities consider them only if places remain. The current figures are published on the official page linked from this update; check them there, because they change without notice.
What a Turkish applicant uploads
A lise diploması and the transcript behind it, the YKS result where the university asks for it, and English language evidence. UCAS asks for a translation to be uploaded alongside the original document rather than in place of it, and it does not accept a translation the applicant has made. Nor does a teacher's endorsement turn a self-translation into an acceptable one.
Do it before the reference
Schools write references in the autumn and applicants chase documents in the same weeks, which is the wrong order. Have the diploma and transcript translated over the summer, keep the PDF, and reuse it for every university, for UK ENIC if a Statement of Comparability is wanted, and for a student visa application afterwards — the same file serves all three. See UCAS and university admissions and the guide for Turkish students applying to UK universities.
Frequently asked questions
My university asks for a sealed envelope from my Turkish school. Does that change anything?
The sealed original goes to the admissions office as the school sent it; the translation travels with it as a separate certified document. Do not open a sealed envelope to translate the contents — order a second copy from the school instead.
