SGK yurtdışı borçlanması 2026 daily rates
For 2026 the daily earning you may declare when buying back years spent abroad runs from 495.45 TL to 4,459.05 TL. The rate you pick sets both the cost and, later, the pension.
The 2026 band
Yurtdışı borçlanması lets a Turkish citizen who has lived and worked abroad pay for that time and count it towards a Turkish pension. You choose a daily earning within the statutory band and pay a percentage of it for every day you are buying. For 2026 the floor is 495.45 TL a day and the ceiling is 4,459.05 TL. The choice is not only about cost: the figure you declare feeds the pension calculation later, so the cheapest option is not automatically the right one, and it is worth asking SGK or an adviser to model both ends of the band for your case.
Proving the time
The United Kingdom is an agreement country — the 1959 convention has been in force since 1961 — so UK insurance periods are recognised. You evidence them with an HMRC national insurance record, employer letters, P60s or a hizmet belgesi issued by the labour attaché at the London consulate.
The translation SGK will accept
This is where applications stall. SGK does not accept a translation certified only by a UK translator. It wants a Turkish translation notarised in Türkiye or certified by the consulate. We translate the HMRC and employer documents in Ankara and have them notarised there, which is the shorter of the two routes from the UK. Frequently asked questions
Does a house-person's borçlanma work the same way?
The cost is worked out on the same daily band, but the evidence differs: you need an İkamet Belgesi from the labour attaché showing the period of residence, rather than an employment record.
