What we supply to immigration practices

Firms acting for Turkish clients send us the same documents in the same combinations: a nüfus kayıt örneği, birth and marriage certificates, divorce decrees, bank statements, SGK records, diplomas, criminal record certificates, employer letters and, for ECAA and business cases, company documents. We translate them from Turkish into English with a certification on every page that carries the elements UKVI looks for: the statement that it is a true and accurate translation of the original document, the date, and the name and contact details of the translation company, together with the company’s registration and the signature of the person responsible, which addresses the Appendix FM-SE requirement for details of the translator or translation company’s credentials in leave to remain and ILR applications. We also translate English documents into Turkish, notarised in Ankara, for the Turkish side of a client’s life: a decree absolute for Article 27/A registration, a naturalisation certificate for a citizenship file, or a power of attorney for property. We do not give immigration advice and we are not regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (formerly the OISC); our role ends with the translation.

How bundles are handled

• Quoting. Send scans of the whole bundle. We count the source text in pages of 1,000 characters and return a fixed price per document within a working day, with any illegible pages flagged before work starts.
• Consistency. One translator handles a family’s set so that names, places and dates are rendered identically across every document, spelt as in the passport, with Turkish characters retained where the passport retains them.
• Order and referencing. Translations are delivered in the order of your index, page-numbered, with the copy of the original attached to each so the bundle can be paginated without rework.
• Tribunal work. For appeals we add the translator’s certificate to Turkish witness statements and, where directed, an affidavit verifying the translation sworn in Ankara and apostilled; see translations for refusals, reviews and appeals.
• Re-issue. If UKVI or a tribunal queries the format, we re-issue free of charge.

Volume, turnaround and commercial terms

Standard turnaround is 1–2 working days for a family bundle of up to fifteen pages and same day for single certificates received before 11:00 UK time; larger bundles are scheduled on receipt. Account terms for firms, including volume pricing, guaranteed turnaround commitments and service credits, are set out in our written B2B terms: terms we agree with you in writing before the first job. Prices are per page, from £10.00 Turkish to English and £6.50 English to Turkish, with certification included and no UK VAT charged. Firms with an account are invoiced monthly in sterling, with each line carrying your client reference and fee-earner, so disbursements can be passed on without reworking our invoice. Payment is by bank transfer or card in GBP. Hard copies for paper applications or tribunal bundles go by UK Special Delivery from our print partner (£8) or by courier from Ankara (£30).

Confidentiality and data protection

Immigration files contain the most sensitive personal data a firm holds. We act as your processor: documents are received through an encrypted upload or your own secure link rather than by open e-mail attachment where you prefer, stored only for as long as the engagement and our retention period require, and seen only by the translator and reviser assigned. We sign a confidentiality undertaking or your own data processing agreement on request, and we operate under UK GDPR as a company outside the UK offering services to UK clients, alongside Turkish data protection law (KVKK). Our handling of documents, retention periods and the UK representative arrangements are described on confidentiality and data protection. We do not use client documents for any purpose other than the translation, and we do not train machine translation systems on them.

What we ask of you

• Tell us the route (visitor, partner, Skilled Worker, ILR, naturalisation, ECAA, appeal), because certification wording and the level of annotation differ.
• Send the passport biodata page for the spelling of names.
• Tell us the deadline and whether you need paper.
• Send scans that include the reverse of certificates and the apostille where one exists.
