Immigration files fail on formalities more often than on substance. We translate Turkish civil-status, financial and criminal-record evidence to the wording the Immigration Rules expect, with the credentials the rules ask to see.
What comes to us from immigration practices
Almost every Turkish family application is built from the same short list: a nüfus kayıt örneği, usually the vukuatlı version, an adli sicil kaydı, a divorce decree with its kesinleşme şerhi, and bank statements or payslips for the financial requirement. Settlement and citizenship files add employment records and property papers; refusals and appeals add whatever the client filed originally, in whatever state it arrived. We work from scans and return a certified PDF that can be dropped straight into the bundle.
The formality that decides acceptance
Appendix FM-SE requires a translated document to be accompanied by particulars of the translator or translation company’s credentials, confirmation that it is an accurate translation of the original, the date, and contact details — and caseworkers do check. Our certification page carries the company’s legal name, its Ankara trade registry and MERSİS numbers, the address, the date, and a signature on behalf of the company. We do not describe ourselves as sworn or approved in the UK, because no such status exists here; what we can say is what the rules require, and it is what we put on the page. How we work with a firm
A fixed rate per 1,000-character page is agreed at the start, so a fee estimate to the client is accurate before the documents arrive. Work is quoted from the scan the same working day, invoiced to the firm rather than to the client, and delivered as a single PDF per document or as one paginated file for a bundle, whichever your system prefers. Terms, including payment and volume arrangements, are set terms we agree with you in writing before the first job. Client files are treated as confidential and deleted on request; immigration papers frequently contain special category data and are handled accordingly.
A realistic figure
Turkish into English is from £10.00 per 1,000-character page with certification included and no UK VAT charged. A two-page nüfus kayıt örneği and a criminal record certificate come to roughly £30–40 together; a full partner-visa set of civil-status and financial documents typically lands between £60 and £100; a 40-sheet appeal bundle is priced by character count, which usually works out near £400 to £600. Urgent work carries a surcharge and is confirmed against your deadline before we start.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Home Office accept translations from a company outside the UK?
The rules address what the certification contains, not where the company sits. We supply the credentials, confirmation of accuracy, date and contact details the rules list.
Can you certify a translation a client already paid for elsewhere?
We can revise and certify it, but we check it line by line first and charge for that check. We will not put our name to a translation we have not verified.
How do you handle a bundle with a hearing date?
Tell us the date at the quote stage. We plan backwards from it and say at the outset if it cannot be met, rather than accepting the work and missing it.
Do you advise on which documents are needed?
No. That is the firm’s job. We describe what a document is and what it says, and we flag when something obvious is missing, such as a decree without its finality note.
