UYAP — meaning and English translation

UYAP (Ulusal Yargı Ağı Bilişim Sistemi) is the National Judiciary Informatics System, the electronic case-management network used by all Turkish courts.

Turkish term: UYAP · Last reviewed 31 August 2026

Every Turkish court, prosecutor's office and enforcement office works inside UYAP, and most documents a party receives are generated by it. A judgment printed from UYAP carries a document number, a barcode and a note that it was signed electronically by the judge and clerk, together with a web address where the document can be verified with that number. Lawyers file petitions through the same system, and citizens can view their own cases via e-Devlet or the Vatandaş Portalı.

Our rendering is “National Judiciary Informatics System (UYAP)” at first mention, then “UYAP”. The verification note is translated in full, and where a document carries an electronic signature block in place of a wet signature we say so in a bracketed translator's remark rather than leaving a blank.

A UK family court asked to rely on a Turkish judgment can have its authenticity checked through the UYAP number; see Turkish court judgment translation.
