Türkiye's national examinations are run by the Measuring, Selection and Placement Centre (Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi, ÖSYM). The result document (sonuç belgesi) for each examination is downloaded from ÖSYM's results site and carries a control code (sonuç belgesi kontrol kodu) that anyone can enter online to confirm the document is genuine. The examinations most often sent to UK bodies are:
- YKS, the university entrance examination, made up of the TYT basic proficiency test, the AYT field tests and the YDT foreign-language test. The result document lists, for each test, the number of correct and incorrect answers, the net score, the raw and placement scores and the candidate's ranking (başarı sırası) nationally.
- The placement result (yerleştirme sonuç belgesi), which shows the programme the candidate was placed in.
- ALES, the postgraduate entrance examination, with scores by field.
- YDS and e-YDS, the foreign-language examination scored out of 100.
- TR-YÖS, the examination for international students applying to Turkish universities, run by ÖSYM since 2023 alongside the YÖS examinations that individual universities set.

When a UK body asks for it
- UCAS and university admissions. Some UK universities consider YKS scores together with the lise diploması when deciding on entry to a foundation year or, for strong results, direct entry. The placement document shows that you were admitted to a Turkish programme, which some universities treat as evidence of level. See translations for UCAS and university admissions.
- Postgraduate admissions, where an ALES score is occasionally accepted as supporting evidence of aptitude.
- Scholarship and funding bodies that ask for national examination results as part of an academic record.
- Student visa applications, where a qualification or result listed on the CAS may be requested by the Home Office.
One limit is worth stating. A YDS score is not accepted as evidence of English for a Student visa, which requires a test from the Home Office's approved list, and UK universities generally do not accept it in place of IELTS or an equivalent. Translating a YDS result is useful for a CV or a scholarship file, not for the visa.
What the translation must contain
Universities and the Home Office apply the gov.uk standard quoted below. Our certificate confirms the translation is true and accurate, gives the date and identifies the company with its Ankara Trade Registry number, address, contact details and signature; the result document is attached.
Numbers are the substance of this document, and two conventions need care. Turkish decimals are written with a comma, so a placement score of 456,78912 is rendered 456.78912 and the key states the change. The net score (net) is a Turkish scoring device, correct answers less a fraction of incorrect ones, and we translate it as net score with a one-line explanation so that a UK reader does not take it for a raw mark. Rankings are given with the population they refer to, since a ranking of 12,000 means something different against three million candidates than against a field of a few thousand. Apostille and verification
ÖSYM result documents are not apostilled; they are verified by the control code, which is why we translate the verification instructions rather than leave them out. UK universities have used the code to check results directly.

Each result document is one page, so the certified translation is £10.00, certification included, no UK VAT. Delivery is within 1 working day as a certified PDF, or the same day with the fast option when the PDF arrives before 11:00 UK time. Several result documents sent together are certified as one order at £10.00 each. A signed hard copy by courier from Ankara is £30; we have no UK office and do not offer collection.

Frequently asked questions
Can a UK university verify my YKS result?
Yes. The control code printed on the document can be entered on ÖSYM's results site, and we translate the instructions so the admissions office knows how. Send the PDF downloaded from ÖSYM rather than a screenshot, so the code is legible.
Will my YDS score count as proof of English for a Student visa?
No. The Home Office accepts only tests on its approved list, and YDS is not on it. Universities also normally require IELTS or an equivalent. A translated YDS result is useful for a CV or a scholarship application.
What does başarı sırası mean in the translation?
It is your national ranking among candidates in that score type. We render it as ranking and, where ÖSYM states the number of candidates, include that figure so the ranking can be read in context.
My result shows 456,78912. Will you write it with a comma?
We write 456.78912 and state in the key that Turkish decimals use a comma, so a UK reader does not read the number as four hundred and fifty-six thousand.
I have results from two years. Do I need both translated?
Only if the university asks for both. Each result document is a separate page at £10.00, and the placement document is another. Send what the university listed.
