Ekspertiz raporu — meaning and English translation
An ekspertiz raporu is an expert valuation or inspection report; for property it is the valuation prepared by a licensed valuer, and for vehicles a condition report.
The word ekspertiz covers any expert assessment, so the document behind it varies. A gayrimenkul ekspertiz raporu is a property valuation prepared by a valuer licensed by the Capital Markets Board (SPK), following a site visit, and it gives the market value, the method, comparable sales, the tapu details and photographs; banks require one for mortgages and many buyers commission one before purchase. An araç ekspertiz raporu is an inspection report on a used vehicle, listing bodywork, paint and mechanical findings. Insurers, courts and enforcement offices also commission ekspertiz reports on damage.
We translate the property document as “property valuation report” and the vehicle one as “vehicle inspection report”, always with the Turkish name in brackets and the valuer's licence details reproduced. Values stay in Turkish lira.
UK mortgage lenders and Home Office caseworkers see the property version as evidence of assets. See Turkish property valuation report translation.
